K C Photo - Last Class

Kansas City skyline.
The class went on a field trip to the Liberty Memorial so we could get these pics.
The instructor took us there and then helped us with night shooting.
We worked with camera settings and...how to set up our tripods in the dark.
I brought a flashlight, but some didn't.
At one point, I thought my camera was broken because it wouldn't work. I learned that sometimes in the dark, you have to move the little box, in the viewer,  to "something/anything" that has light so the camera can focus.
The class has been fun and I've learned tons. I'm going to wait to take the next class till it warms up.
...Lesson Learned.

Dear Turquoisemoon, you've taken a lovely photograph of Union Station lit up. I'd like to see photographs also from you of the Liberty Memorial and the statue of the pioneer woman. Both are favorites of mine. Peace.

Dee, I plan on capturing the Liberty Memorial and Pioneer Woman...this summer.

Steve, Thank you. This class was wonderful. I learned so much and know that I have much more to learn, but isn't that part of the fun???

Nice night shots!

Debra, It is so nice to know how to do some of these things now. It's also nice to know how to fix shots when the don't turn out for various reasons.

What I've learned is to take the camera off Auto and use the other settings, which can be (I said "can") more creative. This class was amazing...

Both shots are beautiful and I love the different results of the same place. The first was my favorite but if I hadn't seen it, the second one would have been.

Those are some good night shots. Lesson well learned, my dear.

Patti, Thank you! Our entire class was there and we got to see everyone's results at our last class. Everyone did good. Funny, when you have a class of adults, who want to be there and pay for the class, how much attention there is in class. We were all attentive and I don't think anyone missed a class. It was good...

Manzanita, Thank you. Last Saturday night it was warmish here in KC, so I went out and did some night shooting at my old theater. (It is an old theater with neon lights) I wanted to see if I could do it. And...I did it!!!

Beautiful night images! I bet you loved getting these shots. And loved the course! I've had more fun in courses in my adult years than in my younger ones.

Martha, You bet! It was fun and I learned so much. I will take more...when it warms up some.
