Orange and Yellow

There's been some beautiful color this year.
I almost waited too long. Work kind of interfered with my picture takin...
Don't you just hate it when that happens???
I went out this morning. The weather was super and I had a mug of hot coffee with me.
This was almost the only color I found in the park.
It was a beautiful morning...thank goodness for the early morning sun.
I had dreams of all sorts of color and many pics...
I'm grateful for these...
ommmm

Damn work. If only money grew on trees along with those beautiful red leaves!

There seems to be a certain angle of the morning sun that really shows off the colors. I try to find the best areas and shoot lots to get what I want.

Debra!!! Hi!!! Ooh I know...work ruins a lot of things.

Steve, Ooh I agree! The sun tends to play with the color and I think the fall sun softens things.

Excellent shots. Each of those would serve well as a wall hanging. Well done.

Thank you Patti! I went to an arboretum in hopes that all sorts of trees would be in color...wrong. Most of them had already turned that brownish color. Rain is coming, so I'm sure the rest will soon turn and fall. I felt really lucky to find these two trees together.

Thank you Ashling. It was such a beautiful day to be out. The weather is turning, so I'm glad I got out.

I noticed especially all the red color this autumn. The weather seemed perfect for Red, Red, the witch is dead. I only got to rake once but filled my compost bins. I emptied out the gorgeous black earth that has been smoldering away. A nice pile of compost those red leaves do make. I add alfalfa pellets and the snow settles on top and turns the leaves back into beautiful black gold.

Manzanita, We had mostly yellow this year. The reds turned brown (dryish) very quickly.

They are beautiful! I love how they're backlit. I wish this part of autumn stuck around for much longer.

Linda, I had to get close, there just wasn't enough color. I also used aperture priority.
