Stoned

1896 ~ Stone School ~ One room schoolhouse on Old Highway 10, near Alma, Ks.
I've never seen so many grasshoppers in my life...
Old stone cemetery.
Stone Barn
Day trip to Alma, Alta Vista and Counsel Grove...went looking for stone stuff and visit my niece. It's so funny, normally she comes to KC for visits...I just continued to "see" her as my little niece. This time, I went to her house, visited with her 3 babies, and smelled the roast cooking for her evening meal. All of a sudden I realized she's really grown up!!! Her brothers, however, will probably remain perpetually 13....

Kittie, Two years ago, my sister and my brother and I went to Colorado. Just us, no spouses. He reverted back to a 13 year old. Made my sister and I scratch on the screen and growl like bears before he let us back in the cabin... Is this just a guy thing??? hahaha

It's a shock to realize those kids are grown. But good too. One of the things I liked as a kid grown into an adult and as an adult who has watched kids grow up is relating to them as adults. One adult to another.

Ellen...Ooh isn't it fun?!!! I've always enjoyed my nieces and nephews but have continued to see them "still little". I have one that is a school teacher, but I still see her as this lil sweetie...the boys, however??? hahaha...

Dear Turquoisemoon, thanks for sharing these photographs of stone buildings in Kansas. I so like stone houses. My all-time favorite home is one made of bricks. There is such permanence about a stone/brick home. Peace.

I laugh when I see Little Rich, at 30 and huge especially compared to his parents. I still see him as little, a little over 280.

Steve, Isnt that a hoot?!!! I'm glad I'm not the only person who "see" friends and family "little"... Funny!
