Early~Before the Children Get There

The Deanna Rose Farm
It's basically for children.
It's a beautiful place, filled with farm animals and flowers/veggies and old farm equipment and old buildings...educational!!!
Besides educational stuff, there's a pony ride, tractor rides, sand boxes, and learning centers about things such as cows/milking cows. There's an old one room school building and a Native American area.
 Flowers everywhere!
Young mothers armed with strollers everywhere!
Cranky children everywhere!
Sanitary hand stations everywhere!
God forbid a child gets into any dirt while at the "farm"...
It's smart to get there early.
It's still quiet...or at least kind of quiet!
I'm showing my age, aren't I???
ommm

Hey, I'm right with you. It is the difference whether it is our kids or other peoples. We are much more amused by the former.

I'll be real honest Patti...Lately I've seen some of the most spoiled rotten kids. Parents sound like they're begging for them to be good. And remember, I work retail...and you should see what I see there?!!!

Beating the crowd can be more relaxing

The first picture is one of your best. Of course being able to make it bigger is part of that. A couple others are not far behind.

Spoiled ass little brats/whining to be whining. Give 'em all they want and they still whine.

Three months in Costa Rica and all that time with kids everywhere I heard on snivel a bit. It's true. This is not the only issue that just isn't right.

Steve...It's VERY important to beat the crowd.

Fly, hahaha...tell me how you really feel!!!! I've seen temper tantrums and the parents begging them to stop so they can get a new toy??? huh???
AND~they would hate a real farm. They're dirty and rusty and really smell and have yucky things all over the place. Nothing sanitary anywhere!!! hahaha

That a chicken in the first picture??? wow… I see an eyeball and a beak... so well, yeah… it's a bird. my goodness… that's a pretty bird. well, what it is?

haha… yes, you're showing your age but I tell you … I do not like fighting the crowds and crowd noises … any longer… what a beautiful farm! wonderful turtle picture!

kids should be able to run and romp and squeal at the animals... us old people do need to go when it's just us... maybe an old people's day at the farm... yeah.

It's the spoiled rotten to the core knock you down disrespectful kiddos that get my goat... otherwise I loe kids.

AND ... I tell you. I don't mind telling the above mentioned kiddos ... to STOP ... I ain't afraid of no parents... I mean it. ;)

Carolyn, I just can't take screaming kids or bratty kids. I work occasionally and you would not believe some of them. We're not allowed to say a word, even if they're destroying something. Sometimes the parents just drop them off. Sometimes the parents are there and they're busy on their phones and their kids are running wild!!! I'm amazed...!!! This farm was really nice the day I went, but I went early. It's best to go early...

I am with you .. on the screaming and bratty kids... that's why I do as you do and go early .. like I said ... we need a ~no kids time~ ... they do that in swimming pools... like at the Y and colleges and such .. gyms...

It isn't the kids ... it's the adults...

I feel sorry for the kids because as they grow older... someone somewhere is going to tell them STOP and it won't be purty...

I had a retail shop ... my livelihood depended on customers. I would simply say ... I can't afford for your children to break m'stuff. You will be responsible for breakage.

If they left ... they left. just soon not make a sale as put with unruly parents ... and that's what they are.. the kids are brats because parents can't stand to say no... am I on a rant ?! surely not... ;)

Just another of our societal ills that I hope makes a turn around... instead of trophies for every one... they must be earned...

Carolyn, Ooh hahaha "trophies for every one" That is sooo funny!!! sad that it's the truth. I worry and feel sad about this group of youngins..they grow up thinking that "it's all about me". I see it every day that I work and I see it in some of the family (actually BF's family) One day, I will tell one of the lil girls that she "ain't no princess"...But, I'll be as nice as I can be... :>

I must admit... I'm getting to be the same way. My son is all grown up and I miss him being little, but I'm not into all the noise, the mess, and the movement of children like I once was. I love the farm pictures, though. I would love it there in the quiet hours too.

Bird, OOh I know!!! I love the grands, but need a nap when they leave. That noise!!! Quiet is good!!!
