Animals in RMNP

No...I did not give this lil fella that cracker.
I strictly adhere to park rules...
Do Not Feed the Animals
Taken as we went up Trail Ridge Road. This was at one of the overlooks.
Not as big as last year's but it was such a surprise...Oooh and this was taken in the Big Thompson Canyon.
This guy was just sitting on the side of the road near Fall River. I have a sunroof in my car and stood up through the opening. I must diet...hmmmm
Spotted mama on the Grand Lake side of the park.
I've never seen any on the Estes Park Side.
The baby peeked out from behind mama for just a second.
I was not that close, but was using my camera with the zoooooom...
Reports today indicate that Trail Ridge is open. Hwy 7 is open and some of downtown is open.
What a resilient town!!! I'd still be wollering in self pity...
ommmmm

These are so cute! You must have had a great time capturing them. Thank goodness for zoom lenses.

And that's what I need...a sunroof! I usually lean out my window while standing on the arm of the door with my knees. Not the most comfortable, but it does the job. We do what me must for the photos we want to capture...LOL...

Martha, I love zooom... I had to try the sunroof because he was so close and sheesh! he's a wild animal. I will use the roof much more often now. hahaha

Ashling, I hope you're in awe because I could get back into my car from the sunroof???! hahaha

So glad to see pictures from the Park. I would LOVE to have a sunroof.

Great shots~

Carolyn, I seldom use my sunroof. This pic of the elk is worth it. Better yet, if someone had taken a video of me trying to get back in the car...a you-tube sensation!!!

Very nice captures

Patti, Isn't that calf the cutest??? Getting out of that sunroof was not easy. I'm old and short. Had to move the seat back and tilt the steering wheel, take off my burkenstocks... I don't know why? but those dang shoes were really a hangup!

Steve, Thank you!!! Always fun getting wildlife.

wow these are so beautiful. There is a little mexican joint close to my house that has a huge sign about not feeding the birds..."they are becoming addicted" soon we will see some overweight fellas...

Photo number 4 is amazing. Looks at the antlers on that beautiful beast.
wonderful.

Debra, Hahaha... Probably wondering just how many more cars are going to stop. It was great seeing him.

Ana, They really start to bug... and depend on the feeding. I'm sure crackers and for sure Mexican food is not healthy for birds.

Lisa, He was amazing. That's why I was practically climbing out of the top of my car.

Dear Turquoisemoon, I just finished reading your last four or five postings. You really bring home what's happened out in Colorado. Thanks for telling what you saw there. Peace.

You made a few fine points there. I did a search on the subject matter and found the majority of folks will agree with your blog.

Dee, It saddened me, but those folks are so resilient!!!

Jones Miller, I just drove by I25, near there. There is much recovery near the hiway, but much more will be needed to reach EP by the canyon.

Mona's Picturesque, Glad you stopped by. I've been gone and just got back from Yellowstone...The park's Closed...dang!!!

Angelina, Thanks!!! I love photography and really want to get much better.
