Gimmicks

Recently went to a metaphysical fair to do some photography.
I found these...
The instructions were that they were to be used like a dream catcher.
What do you think of this? any special powers?
Do you like stuff like this?
Just another new age gimmick???
I'm kind of newagie and some things interest me but then...
This left me flat...
I'll be honest...sometimes, sloppy or just plain ugly/amateur arts&crafts...under the guise of  being "spiritual" bugs the hell out of me...
on a rant...
It's a full moon and I haven't meditated...yet
ommmm

gimmick. but so is a dream catcher methinks. on the other hand, after we moved permanently to the country house, I started having very disturbing dreams. not nightmares and I couldn't ever really remember any details but I would awake feeling very disturbed. so I told my sister and she made up a little jar with herbs and such to put beside my bed and when I did, the disturbing dreams stopped.

Ellen...I know!!! You are right!!! I just need a cyber smack to get me out of this funk!! hahaha... This is what happens when I don't meditate for a few days.

Once upon a time, Witch balls were supposed to trap the spirit of a Witch so she couldn't do one ill. My sister gave me a gorgeous one as a gift year's ago, but as a rule, I don't embrace the concept much.

wow, I have never been to a metaphysical fair. Sounds very interesting... Would love to go to one. Maybe they have one around me.

I'm very 'newagie', too, but they don't do much for me despite how pretty they are. They remind me too much of Christmas ornaments!

Those things couldn't catch any of my dreams.

If only I could remember them.

Ashling, I wish these had been beautiful, but I found them tacky. I believe in energy, but don't see how they could trap that energy...hmmmm...I must think about this.

Lon, They were colorful, but those little bows...tacky!!! Am I being hateful??? yep!!! I don't get like this too often...thank goodness!!! I'll be over it tomorrow and probably very sorry I even posted such a thing.

Ana, It was fun. I hadn't been to one in years. I don't see readers, just look at the stuff. I need to post sometime, why I don't see other readers...

Martha, I'm an astrologer and a skeptic. hahaha... I did all the metaphysical stuff maybe 30 years ago. It had been years since I'd been to one of these.

Fly, What??? Not big enough???hahaha... I seldom remember my dreams either. Where have you been? What's up??? When are you going to post again?

I try not to rule anything out but I need some evidence that something works.
I probably would pass on those.

Patti, I'm thinking that if the person had stressed more about the energy she had put into the balls or maybe prayers or such, I would have been more tolerant. But as you can see...the emphasis is on $$$'s.

Hi - thanks so much for your comments on my blog - I really enjoy them. You mentioned that you liked the Lewis and Clark story. I went on the whole trail in 2010, but it only took me 3 months... If you'd like the read about it, the first post is May 20, 2010.
