Just a Feeling

One of the many reasons I don't climb trees anymore!
This ole tree was part alive and part dead. Probably needs to be cut down...if it was in the city, near wires or houses, but it's in the country.  So it is left to whatever happens. Life is actually abundant in this tree. Lots of birds, bird nests and eggs. Probably the reason this lil fella is climbing around.
Lucy goes with me almost everywhere. She's really a good girl.
We were waiting for BF. He had taken the mule out to check cows. We (Lucy and me) were both ready to go home, but he had one more field to go check. I really wanted him to take me back to my car
...like I knew.
"Ooh it will only take a minute."  I just had that feeling. It was hot/muggy and I needed to get home and get some of my stuff done. Lucy and I manned the gate and he took the pickup (hauling a trailer w/mule inside) out in the field...
and sure enough he got stuck. Waaaay out in the middle of no-where.
Two hours later, here comes the tractor to pull him out.
did I say
ommmm

That was some good intuition you had.

Chung, Not really...it's been raining and BF is a typical farmer. Drives a large white Dodge PU and this time was hauling a trailer that was loaded with a mule and huge mower... my question was why didn't he have that feeling??? sheesh!!!

I believe in leaving the dead trees also for they do provide so much life to many creatures.
Now in the Viagra commercial, the cowboy unloads his horses from the trailer and hitches them up to pull the stuck truck out. I guess one mule power couldn't handle it:))

I just figured you were talking a "real" mule being from Misery and all. Is it a Kawasaki?

You remained calm the whole time and didn't open your mouth did you.

It's soooo dry here. Walked up on a rattle snake that was five feet directly off my left shoulder when I saw it. I can't hear them and the first time that has ever happened and I've walked several hundred miles across the terrain here.

What is that critter. A skank?

Fly, I have not idea what that lizardy thing is...creepy crawly. I don't do lizards or snakes... A rattler??? sheesh!!! One reason I love RMNP is because there's no rattlesnakes there. I used to laugh at that, commenting...Because they can't afford the park entrance fees??? Actually because of the elevation, but anyway, don't like snakes. Yes! managed to keep my Sag mouth shut when he was stuck...ommmm!!!
