The Graduate

She did it!!! She graduated from puppy school...and with honors.
The test included:
sit - stay - down - leave it - come - and a loose leash walk (with distractions)
She had to sit and stay for 30 seconds to pass with honors...very hard for her to do.
She sat for about 20 seconds, then went to begging, but her butt didn't leave the ground so she it counted.
She's a live wire and wears me out.
I leave the store (puppy class) sweating...not perspiring...sweating!!!
We were watching the other puppies in her class-test...
We were last one to be tested.
We use hand signals rather than voice commands.
The test also included one trick...
We've been working on "dance" and she did it like a pro!
Her mommy is very proud of her and glad the classes are over.
ommmm

Teresa, Ooh yes she is!!! ...and it's all about her! She really enjoyed the classes and all the attention she got. She also loved the other puppies in her class. Great socialization for them.

Congrats to the graduate! Use what she learned a lot so she doesn't forget, now that she's not in class.

Congrats to the graduate.
I bet you did all the work and she got to take the bows. That's a dog's life for ya. LOL

Debra, Oooh yes...we practice several times a day (short attention span) We're working on rolling over now. She's very smart.

Fly, hahaha...she has not been easy to train. She's very smart and works hard to outsmart me.

Manzanita, It really was a lot of work. She's a handful...lots of energy.

I raise my orange juice high to the graduate. Be proud of your work. Truthfully, she could have gotten by on her looks. Some of those instructors are weak for a pretty face.

Patti, I think she's cute, but I'm her mommy!

Steve, I think it's important. It's a foundation for the relationship between you and your dog. The start of training and early socialization.
