P of A to Z = Pineapple Smoothie

I love smoothies!
Two summers ago, I got into making myself a smoothie or two or three, using ice cream and.....
Kahlua.
Yes, it's a wonderful afternoon treat!!!
Around twoish, I'd make up a batch of this and sit on my deck and sip. Almost like going to a
Dairy Queen...hmmm...well almost! wink...in fact, my eyes are blinking!
Well it was delicious, but extremely fattening.

Now I have smoothies, but use vanilla yogurt and fruit.  I've been making pineapple or pineapple and strawberry. Yummmy...but not nearly as much fun and relaxing as my Kahlua ones.
How do you make smoothies?
ommmm

A yogurt with fruit -- nice and cold would make a great summertime treat. Never had a smoothie in my life -- guess it is about time I try one.

I don't have a blender and I'm downsizing but I like the Kalua you speak of. Wish I had one right now.

My Rare One used to make smoothies with Nutella. But WAY TOO FATTENING, just like your Kahlua ones. But after Nutella, she just couldn't go back to fruit smoothies so now we don't drink them at all.

Smoothie lover here but on the tame yogurt side. In the summer, I have one for my evening meal. I put carrots, kale and all kinds of healthy things in mine. I love them.

Patti, hmmm...I tend to put fruit in mine, but boy that sure sounds good.

years ago I had a blender and it's long since disappeared I must get one one of these days and try a smoothie. once at a holiday party I had three coffee and kalua drinks with whipped cream on top during the evening, later I got home and couldn't sleep all night long, all that caffeine. Ha.

Linda, Ooh my...coffee and kahlua? That would be a lot of caffeine. That's why I had ice cream with it. hahaha I love smoothies. I add whatever fruit is in season. Right now strawberries and pineapple seem to be.

Dear Turquoisemoon, I used to make smoothies out of tofu, yogurt, and fruit. But no more. I've given them up after becoming a vegan because yogurt--unless it's soy, which doesn't really taste so good--is not on a vegan's eating menu! I'm glad though that you enjoy you, with or without Kahlua.

Thanks so much for commenting on my posting recently. It's good to be back to blogging. Peace.
