Spring?

So this is spring???
I suppose I should get used to weird weather.  There's a saying about Kansas weather.
"If you can't stand the weather in Kansas, wait ten minutes..."

i have seen a few years where I jumped the gun with planting and had to use all my sheets and drop clothes to protect them.We got an inch last night.

The same comment I made at Linda's Place as it's very fitting.

Here in Costa Rica people are complaining how warm it is as it’s not supposed to be like this at all. And I’ve caught a cold. I never get sick. Above Boulder a friend was heading towards 3′ worth. Tico’s also complaining and rightfully so that the soccer game Friday night in Commerce City should never have been played. I’ve worn nothing but shorts and sandals for the last three months. Will get on the plane with the same thing come Thursday and take my chances when I get to Denver.

Fly...That game should have been called! and that's a fact! btw...last year, at this time, I believe I was almost done with my yard work. Unseasonably hot!

Our spring took a nose dive here also. First snow, then rain, then 2 days of 24 hours of cold drizzle. Now the wind is whistling crazily around the corners of the house. Hard to believe I was mowing the yard last week.

Hey Patti, I haven't mowed since last May/June? We had such a drought last year...and now 8" of snow. Sheesh! I've been keeping an eye on your weather too...yuck!

Dear Turquoise Moon, the saying in Minnesota--where I lived for 38 years--was "There are only two seasons here: winter and road repair" ! Peace.

There's a lot of places that use that saying, we are relatively cold here too, 68 during the day and 36 at night.

Dee, Sheesh!!! Glad I live in Kansas! However, I would love to visit Minnesota...I guess during the "road repair" season. hahaha

Linda, 68??? oh my... I think our high today is going to be around 35/36ish.

Oh I thought that saying was a Michigan one. When I lived in Michigan I heard it often -- must be Kansas shares the same changeable weather as Michigan. That is a great spring photo! -- barbara

Barbara, I don't know how true that saying is about Michigan, but for sure it's true about Kansas. I'm so ready for a real spring. I've got so many places I want to go and do some picture takin...

I can't believe it.

It's ommmm here in Virginia, too. This winter crud is supposed to hang around until the middle of April.

Hi Kittie!!! It's about 70 today, but supposed to get back into the 30's Sunday....sheesh!!! I'm thinkin that this time last year I had started my air-conditioner somewhere around the first week in April. I didn't like that either...hahaha
