E to Z

 These are my favorite earrings.
Raven fetish - Zuni
Various beads.
The feather is hand carved and painted out of bone - Lakota
Medicine Woman - Lakota
Are these done yet???? Oooh no....
I just keep finding things to add.  I'm thinking a loop of beads or maybe another fetish or two.
I have another one, done...well not done, but in off white.
Ever heard of charm earrings?
ommm

Dear Turquoisemoon, I get a catalog from the Southwest Indian Foundation. Your ear rings remind me of those the catalog sometimes pictures. They have an aura about them of an ancient lore brought into the present. Peace.

Hi Dee!! I've collected Native American jewelry, as far back as I can remember. I used to have a Southwest store and until recently worked at a local Native American store, here in the Kansas City area. I have an addiction/obsession with turquoise... hmmmm...that's what these need, a touch/slight hint of turquoise.

Personally I don't wear ear rings but if I did I'd get something like these.

First of all...I was surprised you guys had any comment at all about earrings... hahaha!!!

Fly, You'd look cute wearing these! hahaha

Steve, It is fun and this is what makes them unique.

Wonderful! I like the concept of "charm earrings" very much -- just don't let them get too heavy to wear, LOL!

Debra, So far, they're extremely light. I really like them too...my favorite! No one has a pair just like them. You know, one time my mom wore different earrings. She said that she just wanted to and she really didn't think anyone would notice... hahaha what a weird person she was sometimes. I guess there's just a little weird in all of us.

Love them!! And yeah, a hint turquoise would be a nice touch!

Ashling...Me too! just a hint, tho.

I thought they might be too heavy also but I do love them. I really like Indian jewelry.

Patti, No...they're extremely light. I don't own any other kind of jewelry, except a pair of plain silver hoops.

Oh I didn't know you made earrings, those are really special I love the black birds especially. I used to wear really long earrings but since I am not too tall I think I look better with ones that aren't so long but I still love the look of the long ones. If only I had a long neck. Ha.

More ravens! Ever since I won Debra's Raven 'n Poe giveaway, I have been having one of those periods of synchronicity where everywhere I turn I keep seeing ravens! Out of the blue someone even sent me a pic of a raven.

These earrings are fabulous! Great character pieces.

Linda, I don't make earrings, but the owner of the Native American store I worked at does. She is Santee and does bead work and makes jewelry. I think anyone can wear long earrings.

Jane, Oh that's right! You one that Raven on Debra's blog. hmmm...wonder what that means??? Gotta mean something. don't you think???

These are lovely earrings but they look heavy for old ears. When one gets older, the skin gets thinner and I've noticed heavy earrings pull my lobes down. But everything is being pulled down too. Ha ha

I never heard of charm earrings but it sounds interesting.

Manzanita, I am old, so I understand about thinning skin and that gravity thing, but these are not heavy at all. That's one of the reasons they are my favorite.
