230 Miles of Toffee

This is Toffee. Isn't he cute??? This is the second time I've been able to transport these little guys with the Col. Potter Cairn Rescue. The first driver started out at 7am from Carthage, Mo. My leg started in Liberty. The next driver picked him up from me in Lamoni, Ia. Then it was on to Clear Lake, Ia and finally his foster parents will take him from there on to Minnetonka, Mn. Whew!!! Big day for such a little guy...but he's safe, now, in the CPCN network. He was such a good little boy and I'm sure it won't be too long before he's ready for adoption.
What a wonderful day for me! and hopefully a new wonderful life for Toffee...

Oooh, he came up near my neck of the woods. May the perfect place be his new home. What a beautiful service you are sharing in, Lynn.

Ana, Oooh no...but "I'm a very good driver!" Line from Rainman...

Teresa, I just love these little furbabies and I love road trips. This is a wonderful way for me to volunteer.

Oh how wonderful he had someone like you and others to comfort him on his trip.

That is a perfect volunteer job for you. Do you mean his foster parents live in Lake Minnetonka? I used to live in Lake Minnetonka...... right on the lake, well I guess it was on the lake shore. WOW..... that used to be "the place." Toffee will have a doggie heaven time there.

Oh, little Toffee looks so sweet, probably wondering what in the world is going on... I hope he is very happy in his (hopefully) forever home. This is such a wonderful way to help - good on you :)

I can see why you love this breed. They are adorable. What a neat thing you are doing and I hope he is going to be properly loved and spoiled.
I would have a hard time not getting attached on the road trip.

Linda, He was such a good little boy...didn't hear a peep out of him. I just told him what a good boy he was. over & over

Manz,This is the perfect volunteer job for me. I love it!!! I really don't know much about that area. I drove him to Lamoni, Ia. Teresa indicated that it's a beautiful area too.

Debra...ooooh he was just too cute!

Jane, I'm sure he was wondering that! I'm looking forward to hearing all about his progress in his new home.

Patti, We're not allowed to get them out of their carriers and we're on a pretty tight schedule. I pulled into the meeting place and within minutes the next driver was there.

I'm not a very good volunteer type person. This is soooo perfect for me. I feel so lucky that I found this opportunity...

It is sad when people give up a pet, nice you are helping with this.

It is sad! Sometimes there's valid reasons... but try explaining even a valid reason to a furbaby. I don't know this little guys history yet. It won't be posted for awhile. The foster mom sent us an update about his arrival and it was so cute. He was playing in the snow.
