Dang!!!

My hand is out of the cast. The broken bone has healed...but now I need surgery on two of my knuckles.
It is scheduled for Dec. 5th.
Back in a cast for 6 weeks, then a splint for 2/3 more...
Dang those mushrooms!!!
My tree is up and decorated (in spite of a puppy)...and speaking of a puppy, she is still not housebroken. It's like she's got it backwards. She goes outside and plays, then comes in and pees.  She is a Virgo, but her moon is in Gemini. Mercury is retrograde, right now, but goes direct November 26th...maybe then she'll figure it out???!!!
She is growing...4 1/2 pounds...
ommmm...

Oh my, don't know how you do it - my tree isn't up yet and I'm not puppy-training :D You have my sympathies re your upcoming surgery - a shame that you have to go through this as well.

Sorry to read about your knuckles, surgery and upcoming disuse of your hand. Those stickers say it all: bummer!

Double dang, hope it all goes well, surgery for knuckles, who knew. Hope you had a relaxing thanksgiving.

Jane, I want to have everything done before Christmas. Lots of shopping and wrapping this coming week.

Debra...double dog dang!!! At least it's my left hand.

Linda, Thanksgiving was relaxing... Now I've got lots to do to get ready for Christmas.

After the 5th, I'll probably just stalk all my favorite blogs. It's just too hard to type with one hand. Dang...Double dog dang!

Geez, you sure messed up slipping on those mushrooms. So you'll be healing most of the winter. Scary to think you can be enjoying life and all of sudden one fall can turn your life around for many months. -- barbara

Seems like your one hand is full up. May the end get here soon for you.

Barbara, It sure is... Life can change so quickly. I just don't bounce like I did a kazillion years ago.

Fly, I sure hope so. This has been a real pain. I'm really dreading the cast part...

Ashling,I broke my hand back around the end of September... fell on sauteed mushrooms at a Chinese restaurant. I've been in a cast and splint once already and now again after surgery. I'm not happy... Ooh and Lucy will eventually get housebroken...she's just confused "still"!!!

Love cairn terriers and have not had one since I was a kid. I've always read that they are very stubborn and difficult to house train. But then our female boxer was too! She just said to heck with the rules and would go out and pee in the garage. LOL

So sorry to hear about your hand and the ensuing surgery. OUCH... and during the holiday season no less. Hope you heal quickly. :)

Diane, Cairns are sooo much fun...very smart and extremely stubborn. My last Cairn, Sophie, was house broken within a few days, but then she had other dogs (fur babies) around to show her the ropes. This little gal is all by herself and showing her stubborn side. She also sasses... Have you ever heard of a puppy sassing??? So funny...
