I know you have wonderful memories of Sophie.

Hang in there. It's going to hurt for a long while.

You did the right thing TMoon. I'd probably take it worse than you. Good pooches are hard to find but there's another for you down the road if you wish. It'll; be okay.

I'm so very, very sorry and saddened for your loss. I know how heartbreaking it is, how painful it is, and how profoundly unbearable the loss and the sadness feels at this moment. My beloved and sweet Mollie girl passed away this time four years ago, in my arms, due to a second massive stroke. Our vet wanted us to put her down when the first stroke occurred, but I refused, as she was in no pain, but was exhausted, losing weight, and blind because of it. I fed her by hand, gave her milk and water via an eye-dropper, and did everything I could for her, until her very last breath.

Sophie, like our Mollie, knew how much you loved her, and knew how much she was loved and how much you cared for her. It is the only downside of having a beloved pet in our lives - they don't live as long as we wish they could.

Just know that Sophie is with you, as our Mollie is with us, as our Pooka, our Rocky, our Finn, our Shibbles, and Rudi, our Shadow and our Holly are all with us - in our hearts, in our memories of them, via our love for them, and their love for us. Death cannot ever steal that love from us. Sophie is with you, in your heart. And she is running free now, at the Rainbow Bridge, where she is healthy and happy, and in no pain.

I will light a candle tonight for her, and may that light her way, as love always does light the way. With much love and a heavy heart for your hearbreaking loss. June

Fly, I'm sure I'll be fine...just can't quit crying. Loved her so much and yes! she was a good girl, and oooh so smart.

Teresa, Thank you...hug your boy for me. I love doggie hugs...

Debra, She was so much fun. So smart and such a little tease. She would try to talk when we drove to the farm...trying to tell me that we were going the right way. Oooh I will miss that little girl.

Womanbread, I too have had many, but this little one was so special. Geez...I said that so quickly, almost forgetting Sassy, Willow, Peaches, and LD. I guess you are right. but dang...!!! Thank you, June, for your wonderful comment...

Patti, Ooh me too. She was such a funny little girl...I miss her so.

Oh my heart goes out to you. I have had 4 dogs - one still living at age 12. All I mourned inconsolably as did my husband. We know another such day is in the future, maybe sooner, maybe later.

Your sweetie was such a cutie.

Time will heal with wonderful memories.

I am so sorry. When I read she was terminal, I couldn't contain my tears. I thought of you most of the weekend as I hugged my old guy... I am so sorry for your loss, for your princess not being here. I know however she is in heaven watching you and wagging her little tail because she was a loved puppy.

Oh I am so sorry about your loss, such a sweet look on her face. We still think of our dog and she's been gone more than ten years but we think of the happy times now and are glad to have had her to love, so I hope that comes to you gently.
