A Cow Named Spot

I don't name BF's cows, except for two.
Pearl...always name the first heifer born, Pearl. Don't ask me why...
BF raises Gelbvieh cattle. Most are registered, most are either black or red.
And then there's Spot. She's the only multicolored? (don't know the cow term for this) he has. I watched her being born and now just look at her. She's due in 2 weeks and huge!
Sophie loves going to the farm. She becomes a regular farm dog. She drinks out of the pond, chases the kitties, snoops around the barn and eats icky things.
Doesn't she look happy???

Sophie is adorable (I expanded the pic for a closer look :) - I can imagine she has a ball at the farm with so much to explore! I don't know anything about cows, so I'm afraid I can't shed any light on what the multicoloured ones are called...

A friend started naming his cattle and had a terrible time selling them.I enjoy their relaxed mode and enjoy watching them.

She blooms. Even her dermis is glowing! Probably the icky things she has been eating ;-)

Debra, Sophie really thinks she's a farm dog. It's a 30min drive from our house to the farm and she knows the way. I get kisses whenever I make the correct turns.

Jane, Sophie is a hoot. She loves the farm... She's not allowed to bark at the cows so she makes a strange noise(like a silent bark)when she sees them.

Steve, Spot is the only one I can identify. BF knows all of them. Not by name of course, but who was the bull and which cow was their mother. They all look the same to me.

Patti, She is huge. I sure hope to get some pics when she drops. I've been wondering about twins too...we'll see.

Linda, Sophie loves the farm and all the smells. I think Spot is kindof cute too!!!

Lulu, Thank you ! Sophie is adorable. She's the smartest dog I've ever had. She's also extremely independent. My little Scottish lass can be quite stubborn.

Fly, And to think I kiss on her...!!! hahaha

Ana, She's my pampered baby. When she goes to the farm, she's gone! She runs, snoops, drinks out of things I wouldn't allow near my house...no telling what else she does.

Your images of the spotted pregnant heifer and Sophie are whimsical. Especially enjoyed the peaceful look in the heifer's eyes. Farms fit dogs like a glove. -- barbara
