Making Hay

BF has introduced "making hay" to my city world.
We need rain, for the corn...but, it needs to wait till after the hay is cut, raked and baled.
The weather, for him, is more than something that might ruin the days plans.
He tells me not to mow my lawn. Says its going to be a very dry summer. I understand, in my mind, what he's talking about...but, my yard is beginning to look like a country field.
In the city, the function of a front yard is "pretty" not to feed cattle.
ommmmm...

Maybe your friend could lend you a cow to eat your grass. Beats mowing!

Wish I hadn't mowed so close last time. No rain and high heat has my yard a lovely winter brown. No hay here.
The higher the grass, the longer the roots. No hay here.

Patti, There's no rain in the forecast around here, either. I'm gonna wait till rain is coming, then raise my blades. I think that's a good plan.

Linda, Boy, we could sure use the rain. I mowed (raised the blades) this morning. Think we have a chance for rain either tonight or tomorrow. Keeping fingers xxx'd.
BF watches Fox News all the time :< and we are opposites when it comes to sooooo many things. He's a kind man...but, our relationship does have some issues.
