I won this kayak at the company Christmas party. Can you believe this???
I won an Ascend D12 Deluxe kayak, a paddle and a life jacket.
They always have great door prizes. They start out with several $10 gift certificates and then the prizes just keep getting bigger and better. They gave away gift cards for several restaurants, our store and also several other stores. Movie tickets...just all sorts of fun stuff. This year they also gave away two, 43" flat screen TVs.
I knew about the TVs, but didn't know about the kayak...guess working some night shifts, you miss some of the morning meeting details.
Here's the deal...the minute they started talking about the kayak package that was the final prize, I knew...
I knew I was going to win it! A voice deep inside me said that it would be a great upper body workout. Funny...right then, I honestly felt that I would win it. I would have been extremely happy with any of the prizes...but, wow..!!! a kayak!!!
I'm thinking that this is going to be a great new adventure.
The voices also said that I should quit eating all the treats that everyone brought!!!

I love it when those voices give us information and that is one fine win! I'm happy for you. Now, I wonder if the voice was telling you what was going to happen, or confirming for you what you wanted and then your desire for this right idea made it so. Mmmm...

Holy moly, that is one deluxe kayak! I know several women who kayak and they LOVE it! Congrats to you and enjoy all the fun exercise you'll be getting!
Funny how that little voice within KNEW the kayak was meant to be yours. Sometimes that happens. I've experienced it too.

Debra, I work at a place where the women are very outdoorsey. Many of them came up to me, after winning, and invited me to kayak with them next spring/summer. I'm thinkin this is really going to be fun and a new adventure for me.
I always hear that voice,but never my name. I hope you find a new world to discover in this kayak, I spend lots of time in mine.

Steve, You really do enjoy kayaking, don't you!!! Mine weighs over 70lbs, so I don't think I'll be able to lift it and put it on top of my car. I've already started looking at trailers. There's all sorts of lakes near here, and I'm getting very excited...come on...Spring!!!
Fly, ha ha ha...no box stuffing allowed. They handed out tickets. One to each employee. It was a fun party (besides the winning part)...A bunch of fun, active people. We all have at least one thing in common...a love of the outdoors.
Hmmm, I am going to have to think more positively. I have never WON anything but one cemetery plat--really I did.
